Welcome to Surterra. Our timber comes from forests that have been sustainably managed since the early 1900’s.

Our first collection, Expedition, pays tribute to explorers who dared to venture unexplored Arctic coastline – the Northwest Passage. The collection celebrates that journey and the places they found.

All Surterra floors are manufactured in either 5/8” engineered or 3/4” solid hardwood and finished with Rubio Monocoat, a UV cured hard wax oil–an all natural, zero VOC organic finish that is plant-based and completely non-toxic. Surterra is produced using only North American hardwoods with consistency of grading with process control from tree to lumber, to flooring to finishing. Fully matured northern hardwoods offer a tighter grain, grow in higher density, and have less twisting and warping.
